Doha College has announced the university placements for its Class of 2026, highlighting a strong intake at leading institutions across the United Kingdom, United States, Europe, and other global destinations. This follows a year marked by notable academic achievements and a diverse array of subject interests among graduates.
In the UK, a significant portion of the cohort secured offers from top-tier universities, including Imperial College London, University College London (UCL), King’s College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and the University of Manchester. More than 72% of students applying to UK universities received offers from Russell Group institutions, which are known for their rigorous academic standards and influential research.
The college’s reach extends beyond the UK, with nine graduates confirmed to continue their studies in the United States. Among them, two secured placements at Ivy League universities: one at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and another at Cornell University.
Overall, the Class of 2026 will pursue higher education in a range of global locations. Of the full cohort, 86 students are heading to universities in the UK, nine to the US, 24 to various European countries, 20 to institutions in Asia and the Middle East, six to Canada, and four to Australia.
Doha College attributes these outcomes to its commitment to a vision centered on inspiring students to explore their passions and maximize their potential, encouraging high academic and personal expectations. The variety of university destinations and chosen degree programmes reflects the broad interests cultivated during students’ time at the school.
Engineering emerged as the most popular field of study among the graduates, followed closely by Medicine—a highly competitive discipline. Other areas of interest include Accounting and Finance, Law, Economics, and Business, underscoring a wide range of academic pursuits within the cohort.
The academic performance of the Class of 2026 supported these competitive placements, with A Level results showing 63% of grades at A*–A, 84% at A*–B, and 95% at A*–C. Individual achievements included several students attaining multiple A* grades, with the highest achieving pupil earning five A* grades including the Extended Project Qualification.
As the graduates prepare for the next phase of their academic and professional lives, Doha College emphasizes the combination of knowledge, confidence, and character they have developed. The institution views these attributes as key to helping students capitalize on the opportunities that lie ahead.
