Dolly Parton recorded her final song just months before her death, U2’s lead singer Bono revealed. The country music legend, who passed away on August 25 at the age of 80, contributed her last vocals to the track “Torn,” which will appear on U2’s forthcoming album, “Carnaval De Luz,” scheduled for release on November 19.

Bono, 66, shared that Parton left bed rest in June to participate in the recording session. Reflecting on her performance, he noted the emotional weight of the moment, saying he struggles to listen to her vocals since her passing. “When she got ill, she got out of her bed to sing this song. And you can hear that,” he explained. Bono added that Parton delivered the performance with remarkable passion and strength, expressing disbelief that it was recorded by an 80-year-old.

The collaboration between Parton and U2 highlights the late singer’s dedication to her craft even in the final months of her life. The upcoming album will mark the public release of her last recorded work.
