Domino’s has reported a slowdown in sales growth at its established locations, despite continued strong demand for its thinner pizzas and fried chicken offerings. In the three months ending September 30, sales at these stores increased by 2.3 percent, a decline from the 5.2 percent growth recorded in the previous quarter.

Overall, the company’s total sales rose by 3.5 percent during the same period. Despite the deceleration in comparable-store sales growth, Domino’s affirmed that it remains on course to meet its full-year earnings projections.

Following the release of these figures, the company’s shares declined by 4.5 percent. The results suggest that while product demand remains robust, growth momentum is easing as the business enters the latter part of its fiscal year.
