Dorchester Town extended their winning streak with a 3-1 victory over Inkberrow, moving to the top of the league standings. The match took place on Sunday, with Dorchester now sitting two points ahead of second-placed Weymouth.

The game was tightly contested, especially in the first half, but the Dorset side began to assert control after the interval. Early in the second half, Dorchester’s Burrows delivered a precise cross to Ethan Taylor, who headed the visitors into a 2-1 lead in the 50th minute. Taylor, who was involved in much of Dorchester’s attacking play, posed a constant threat throughout the period.

Inkberrow’s goalkeeper Bunn was tested soon after by another Taylor effort, denying the forward following a skilful build-up from Haste. However, as the match approached its final stages, Dorchester capitalized on a swift counterattack. With Bunn caught out of position, Taylor again found the net, securing the win and maintaining Dorchester’s unbeaten run.

Inkberrow, meanwhile, suffered a blow to their play-off aspirations as the defeat pushed them out of the top qualifying positions. Dorchester’s goalkeeper Hall also contributed crucial saves to keep his side in front, including a sharp stop from Gregor Guy’s shot early in the second half.

The result reinforces Dorchester Town’s status as promotion contenders as they head into the remainder of the season.
