Felicia Ng Wan Yee marked a significant achievement on August 14 at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman’s (UTAR) 43rd convocation held at the Kampar Campus, where she graduated from the Master of Business Administration (Corporate Governance) [MBACG] programme. In addition to earning her degree, she received the Marrybrown Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding academic performance and leadership potential.

Ng’s studies were undertaken through a collaboration between UTAR and the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA). Reflecting on her success, she credited both her dedication and the support she received from lecturers and peers throughout her academic journey. “This recognition is both meaningful and encouraging. It reflects not only my personal efforts but also the unwavering support and guidance of dedicated lecturers and supportive coursemates,” Ng said.

The award, which included RM1,000 in cash, a certificate, and vouchers, was presented by Muhammad Raihan Mohaidin, Human Resources Manager for Marrybrown. He noted that the company’s sponsorship highlights its commitment to supporting education and fostering future leaders in Malaysia’s corporate sector. “Outstanding graduates like Felicia Ng, who combine strong academic performance with leadership potential, are precisely the kind of future leaders who will help shape Malaysia’s corporate and governance landscape,” he said.

Ng, who was also a national finalist at the MAICSA Young Governance Professional Awards in 2025, described her decision to pursue the MBACG programme as instrumental in broadening her perspective and enhancing her professional competencies. She emphasized the value of ethical leadership, corporate governance, and lifelong learning in today’s business environment, stating that the award motivates her to continue advancing in these areas.

UTAR’s Faculty of Accountancy and Management Associate Professor Abdullah Sallehbuddin Abdullah Salim, head of the MBA and MBACG programmes, praised Ng’s accomplishment. He highlighted the challenges she overcame, balancing academic commitments with her roles as a working professional, mother, daughter, and wife. Abdullah expressed hope that her success would inspire further achievements in her career.

Ng’s dual recognition at the convocation underscores both her academic excellence and her dedication to advancing governance standards and leadership within Malaysia’s business community.
