While nearly 75 percent of motorists agree that driving tests should cover both the skill of operating a vehicle and ensuring its safety, more than half admitted they do not know how to change a tyre. Respondents generally felt comfortable performing simpler tasks such as topping up screenwash or adjusting tyre pressure but found more complex maintenance intimidating.
