Russian officials reported that Ukrainian drone strikes on a Black Sea resort and the annexed Crimean Peninsula resulted in the deaths of 11 people. According to the crisis taskforce for Russia’s southern Krasnodar region, seven individuals, including three children, were killed when fragments of a drone landed on a beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka. Separately, Sergey Aksyonov, the Moscow-appointed governor of Crimea, stated on Telegram that four people died in a separate attack on the peninsula.

In addition to these incidents, Russian authorities attributed a bombing at a restaurant in Moscow to Ukrainian forces. The attack in the capital claimed five lives. Officials are speculating that a senior Russian military commander may have been the intended target in the Moscow explosion, although this has not been independently confirmed.

These events mark a continuation of escalating hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, with Kyiv increasingly deploying drone strikes against targets within territories under Russian control.
