UAE telecommunications provider du reported a 10.8 percent rise in net profit to Dh2.4 billion for the first nine months of 2026, driven by increased revenue, subscriber growth, and improved operating margins despite earlier regional disruptions.

The company’s total revenue for the period grew 6.2 percent year-on-year to Dh12.3 billion, with service revenue increasing 6.8 percent to Dh9 billion. This growth was supported by sustained demand for mobile, broadband, and digital services. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 9.2 percent to Dh6 billion, and the operating margin improved to 48.7 percent from 47.3 percent in the same period last year.

Du attributed its strong performance to robust customer demand, effective cost management, and a more stable economic environment following disruptions in the region earlier this year.

In the third quarter, the company reported net profit of Dh786 million, a 7.3 percent increase compared with Dh732 million in the same quarter of 2025. Quarterly revenue grew 7.1 percent to Dh4.1 billion, supported by growth in its mobile, fixed-line, information and communications technology (ICT), and wholesale segments.

Mobile revenue rose 3.9 percent to Dh1.8 billion, while fixed-line revenue increased 7.1 percent to Dh1.2 billion, largely driven by demand for home wireless services and enterprise connectivity. Revenue from other segments, including wholesale, ICT, handsets, and accessories, climbed 12.6 percent to Dh1.1 billion, bolstered in part by the launch of Apple’s iPhone 18.

Quarterly EBITDA increased 6.7 percent to nearly Dh2 billion, with the EBITDA margin remaining relatively stable at 47.7 percent.

Du’s mobile subscriber base expanded 3.3 percent year-on-year to 9.5 million customers during the third quarter, though the pace of growth moderated amid ongoing regional challenges. Postpaid subscribers grew 6.4 percent to reach 2 million, supported by strong demand from premium consumers and business customers, as well as the new iPhone 18 launch.
