Dubai Police convened a community event on Monday in Muhaisnah 2, bringing together approximately 1,300 workers to promote awareness on cybersecurity, road safety, and access to police services. The gathering took place at the Al Ghurair Labour Accommodation Complex and was organised by the Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council in coordination with the General Department of Police Stations, represented by Al Qusais Police Station, along with several strategic partners.
The initiative aimed to strengthen community ties by combining educational sessions with interactive and recreational activities, encouraging responsible behaviour among participants. The event opened with a parade featuring the Dubai Police Band, a luxury police patrol vehicle, the K9 Unit, and members of the Positive Spirit Council. This procession fostered a lively atmosphere, facilitating direct engagement between law enforcement and workers.
In recognition of cybersecurity awareness month, the programme included specialised sessions focusing on common online fraud methods and the dangers of sharing sensitive personal and banking information. Participants were provided with practical guidance on protecting their digital accounts from hacking, identifying suspicious links and messages, and recognising potential scams. These efforts were designed to equip workers with essential knowledge to navigate emerging digital threats.
Additionally, Dubai Police showcased its smart and community services, demonstrating how individuals can access police assistance and resources through official digital platforms. The event underscored the authorities' commitment to enhancing public safety and fostering informed, connected communities.
