Dubai Police have returned a lost handbag containing valuable personal items to a traveler after safeguarding it at Dubai Airport until her return to the emirate. The incident highlights the efficiency and professionalism of local law enforcement and has drawn commendation from the traveler for the UAE’s high safety standards.

The handbag, which included cash, a smartphone, and other valuables, was initially left behind by the woman shortly before her departure from the UAE. The General Department of Airport Security at Dubai Airport recovered the item following a search prompted by the traveler’s report to airport authorities.

Brigadier Hamed Al Hashemi, Director of the General Department of Airport Security, explained that after the traveler informed officials about the missing bag, police initiated a thorough verification process to ensure its security. Upon confirming its location, the handbag was secured in accordance with established protocols.

As the traveler was no longer in the country, Dubai Police contacted her to provide options for recovering the property. Authorities offered to either send the handbag to her current location abroad or keep it safely until her next visit to Dubai. The woman opted to collect it in person on her return.

Once she arrived back in the emirate, the handbag was returned to her with all contents intact. This case reflects the systematic approach taken by Dubai authorities to handle lost property efficiently while maintaining the safety and trust of residents and visitors alike.
