The DP World International League T20 (ILT20) Season 5 is scheduled to conclude at the Dubai International Stadium on December 20, marking another month of high-profile Twenty20 cricket in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament’s sixth edition will commence on November 21, with defending champions Desert Vipers set to face off against previous winners MI Emirates in the opening match at Dubai International Stadium. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m., with all evening fixtures throughout the tournament following the same start time.
The opening weekend will continue on November 22 with Sharjah Warriorz taking on Gulf Giants at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in an afternoon match starting at 2 p.m., followed by Dubai Capitals hosting Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in Dubai in the evening session.
The tournament will feature a special double-header on December 2 to coincide with the UAE National Day celebrations. That day, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders will play against Desert Vipers in Abu Dhabi during the afternoon, while Dubai Capitals are scheduled to meet MI Emirates later that evening in Dubai.
The league phase of the competition comprises 30 games, with each of the six teams playing 10 matches. Upon completion of the round-robin stage, the top four teams will progress to the playoff phase. Qualifier 1 is scheduled for December 16 in Abu Dhabi, followed by the Eliminator match on December 17 in Dubai, and Qualifier 2 on December 18 in Sharjah.
The final will be held back at Dubai International Stadium on December 20 with a 6:30 p.m. start time. The event is expected to draw top international cricket talent and continue to strengthen the UAE’s position as a key host of global T20 competitions.
