Dubai has introduced two new initiatives aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and strengthening its position as a leading global destination for business and leisure. Starting this month, tourists will be able to apply for single-entry and multiple-entry visas directly through Dubai’s official tourism website, Visit Dubai. This move is part of a broader effort to streamline visa issuance and improve convenience for travellers.
The visa application process will be managed by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai), which will continue to evaluate and approve visa requests. The initiative is a collaboration between GDRFA Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and Digital Dubai, developed under the Shared Digital Channels Initiative. This programme aims to consolidate government services on unified digital platforms, simplifying access for residents and visitors alike.
In addition to the new visa service, Dubai will launch the Dubai Access Club, an exclusive, invitation-only membership programme designed to reward frequent visitors. Members will gain access to a range of privileges, including bespoke experiences and tailored services that promote repeat tourism to the emirate.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, emphasized that these initiatives are intended to enhance various aspects of the visitor journey. He highlighted their alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda 2033 (D33), which aims to position Dubai among the world’s top three destinations for both business and leisure travel.
By offering streamlined visa services and a dedicated loyalty programme, Dubai seeks to attract and retain a diverse range of tourists, reinforcing its status as a dynamic and accessible global hub.
