Amanat Holdings, a Dubai Financial Market-listed company specializing in healthcare and education, has finalized the acquisition of UK-based specialist care provider Cornerstone Healthcare Holdings through its wholly owned subsidiary, Cambridge Health Group (CHG). The transaction values Cornerstone at an initial enterprise value of £71 million, with up to an additional £5 million in deferred payments tied to the company’s future performance, bringing the potential total value to approximately £76 million (around Dh380 million).

The purchase was funded entirely through Amanat’s internal resources, and the company expects the acquisition to deliver returns exceeding CHG's investment hurdle rate. Cornerstone was acquired from Ignite Growth, a UK-focused private equity firm.

This acquisition marks CHG’s first operational footprint in the United Kingdom and increases its total capacity to over 1,000 beds. Amanat has set a medium-term goal for CHG to surpass 1,500 beds by pursuing organic growth, developing new facilities, and making selective acquisitions. Since 2021, CHG has expanded from around 260 beds to more than 700 licensed beds across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, supported by investments and commitments totaling approximately AED 800 million in its existing operations and development projects.

The Cornerstone deal aligns with Amanat’s broader growth strategy announced in July 2026, which involves deploying Dh1.5 billion across its healthcare and education divisions, aiming for a minimum return on equity of 10 percent. Following the recent acquisition and other investments, the company has completed or committed to around Dh0.9 billion of its capital deployment target, representing approximately 60 percent of the planned allocation.

Cornerstone operates four specialist care homes located in the South of England, offering 283 beds focused on complex dementia care, neuro-progressive conditions, severe mental illness, acquired brain injuries, and neurorehabilitation. The provider maintains partnerships with NHS Integrated Care Boards and local authority commissioners to support its services.

Dr. Ali bin Harmal Aldhaheri, chairman of Amanat, noted the progress made toward executing the company’s growth strategy, highlighting the significant portion of capital deployment already completed and committed.
