Dulwich Hamlet opened their season with an emphatic 6-0 victory over Maldon & Tiptree in a match played on Saturday. The home side established a commanding lead early on, scoring five goals in the first half and completing the rout after the break.

The scoring began within the first seven minutes when Nyren Clunis fired a shot past former Dagenham & Redbridge goalkeeper Elliot Justham to give Dulwich the lead. Clunis continued his strong performance by adding a second goal in the 20th minute. By that point, Dulwich had already extended their advantage to three goals within the opening 20 minutes.

Luke Wanadio increased the lead further in the 31st minute, followed by Gasper Mico scoring just before halftime to bring the score to 5-0. After the interval, Dulwich maintained their dominance, with David Smith converting a chance created through a precise combination involving Clunis and Lonit Talla to double the second-half tally.

Mark Dacey’s side controlled possession and opportunities for the remainder of the match, ensuring a comfortable win to kick off their campaign. Maldon & Tiptree were unable to mount any significant challenge, conceding six times without reply.
