A 34-year-old man from Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, has been sentenced to four years in prison for sexually harassing six girls aged between 13 and 17. Marc Corrieri, who stands 4 feet 2 inches tall and worked as an Oompa-Loompa entertainer for hen and stag parties, was found guilty of grooming the minors over a six-year period through social media.
Corrieri engaged in inappropriate communications with the victims, sending explicit messages and requesting sexual videos. He also paid some of the girls for naked images, offering £150 to one and £40 to another. The offences came to light after an investigation led to his arrest.
At Hamilton sheriff court, Corrieri pleaded guilty to 10 charges related to the six victims. His defense lawyer, Diarmid Bruce, told the court that his client had never been in a sexual relationship and had not disclosed his dwarfism to those he contacted. Corrieri earned £150 per hour as an entertainer but resigned from his role after the allegations surfaced.
The court heard that Corrieri exploited social media platforms to initiate contact with vulnerable young girls, leading to a pattern of abuse that spanned several years. The sentencing reflects the severity of the offences and the impact on the victims involved.
