EasyJet, in collaboration with easyJet holidays and technology company Life360, has introduced a new tracking device designed to help passengers keep track of lost toys during travel. The device, dubbed the "teddy tracker," can be attached to children's comfort toys and monitored through the Life360 mobile application.
The initiative aims to alleviate the distress experienced by young travelers who often become attached to a particular teddy bear or similar item. Stuart Wright from easyJet holidays noted that for many children, a favourite toy provides emotional comfort during trips, and losing it can be upsetting during what should otherwise be an enjoyable experience.
The tracker uses existing location-sharing technology to make it easier for parents and guardians to locate misplaced toys, potentially reducing the stress associated with travel for families. The move aligns with easyJet’s broader focus on improving passenger experience, particularly for families with young children.
Details on the availability and pricing of the teddy tracker have not yet been disclosed. The collaboration with Life360, known for its family location-sharing app, highlights the growing role of technology in addressing practical challenges faced by travelers.
