Ed Sheeran has submitted a planning application for the construction of a habitat pond at a property he recently acquired near his Suffolk residence. The singer, known for his hit "Bad Habits," purchased the Grade II-listed estate for approximately £1.1 million a few years ago and is currently converting existing barns on the site into a music studio complex.

The application, filed with the local council, proposes the creation of a pond intended to support local wildlife. Official documents describe it as a "small habitat pond," but the proposed dimensions—43 meters by 20 meters—approach the size of an Olympic swimming pool, which has raised some eyebrows among nearby residents.

This is not the first time Sheeran has introduced wildlife-related features on his Suffolk properties. Ten years ago, he gifted kittens to neighbors around his home, known as Sheeranville, in connection with the installation of another wildlife pond.
