Eddie Howe has stepped down as head coach of Newcastle United after nearly five years in charge, the club confirmed on Saturday. The 48-year-old made the decision following a period of personal reflection, citing the need to step away, recharge, and take a break.

Howe’s tenure at Newcastle included notable achievements such as helping the club avoid relegation and leading the team to victory in the Carabao Cup. His departure was accompanied by the exit of several members of his coaching staff, including Jason Tindall, Graeme Jones, Stephen Purches, Simon Weatherstone, and head of performance Dan Hodges.
