The second edition of the “Empowerment and Excellence” exhibition, organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) through its Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, concluded on Sunday after drawing approximately 79,518 visitors. The event took place at the Al Gharf project in Dhofar Governorate.
The exhibition showcased the offerings of 50 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that highlighted a broad spectrum of products and services. These included perfumes and frankincense, fashion and textiles, Omani hospitality and food products, as well as traditional crafts and industries, reflecting the cultural and economic diversity of the region.
The closing ceremony incorporated interactive dialogue sessions aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and strengthening SME growth. Notable sessions included “Entrepreneurs Talk” and a discussion on “The Role of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Empowerment.” Topics covered financial management best practices, particularly emphasizing the importance of separating personal and business finances to accurately assess profitability.
Participants were also briefed on the prerequisites for accessing international markets, with a focus on encouraging entrepreneurs to face regional economic challenges with a sense of confidence and optimism. The event reiterated the chamber’s commitment to supporting the development of SMEs as key contributors to Oman’s economy.
