The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs recently concluded the third edition of the Zad Al-Du’ah Forum, an initiative aimed at enhancing religious discourse and strengthening the skills of Islamic preachers. The event, organized by the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance through the Institute of Da’wah and Islamic Sciences, was held as part of the Masarat wa Manarat programme, which focuses on the training and development of preachers’ scholarly and professional capabilities.

The forum brought together 50 preachers affiliated with the ministry, providing an intensive platform to cultivate a rigorous scholarly approach to engaging with the Prophetic Sunnah. A primary objective was to improve the delivery of religious messages by supporting effective da’wah methods and refining linguistic performance to ensure clarity and impact in public presentations.

Leading the programme was Dr. Hamza Abdullah Malaibari, a prominent Islamic scholar specializing in Hadith studies. The sessions included in-depth discussions on the principles governing the transmission and interpretation of Hadith, techniques for verifying the authenticity of narrations, and systematic approaches to addressing differing scholarly opinions on their grading. Participants also explored appropriate guidelines for citing weak Hadith and received practical training in correctly applying diacritical marks and avoiding pronunciation errors during recitations.

Additionally, the forum focused on strengthening public speaking and preaching skills, aiming to increase the credibility and influence of religious presentations within communities. Ibrahim Mohammed al-Darwish, head of the Institute of Da’wah and Islamic Sciences, described the forum as a specialized response to the evolving demands of contemporary da’wah work.

Al-Darwish emphasized that the third edition concentrated on equipping preachers with the necessary scholarly tools and professional skills to effectively utilize the Prophetic Sunnah. This effort aligns with the ministry’s broader mission to promote sound religious awareness and uphold values of moderation and balance in society.

The event forms part of the Ministry’s strategic plan, which prioritizes investment in human capital by developing a cadre of religious outreach professionals who possess a deep grounding in Islamic tradition alongside strong professional competencies. This approach is intended to advance the quality and effectiveness of religious guidance and foster a measured and informed religious environment.
