The Roses suffered a heavy 19-goal loss to Australia last Sunday and endured a damaging series defeat to South Africa in January. The team also faced significant setbacks with the resignation of head coach Jess Thirlby and an injury to star player Helen Housby, which raised further concerns about their prospects.
