Perched 310 meters above ground level, the newly opened Ciel Dubai Marina hotel offers what is poised to become the world’s highest outdoor infinity pool. Located on the 76th floor of the 377-meter-tall hotel, the rooftop Sky Pool surpasses the current record held by Address Beach Resort’s pool at 294 meters. Though the Guinness World Records has yet to officially recognize the Ciel pool, its elevation and distinctive setting mark it as a unique attraction in Dubai’s vibrant skyline.
Ciel Dubai Marina, part of InterContinental Hotels Group’s Vignette Collection, rises sharply from the waterfront with a needle-like silhouette that dominates the marina district. The Sky Pool, measuring 11 by 9.6 meters, is situated within a structure resembling the tip of the building, creating an intimate swimming experience without space for laps. Visitors are treated to sweeping views of prominent landmarks such as the Dubai Eye observation wheel, Palm Jumeirah, and the twin Atlantis resorts.
The hotel itself features 1,004 rooms varying in price and views, with the least expensive accommodations overlooking the marina and city and premium rooms offering expansive panoramas from higher floors. Some suites include innovative features like adjustable glass walls in the bathrooms for scenic showers, complementing the striking vistas of Dubai’s harbor filled with luxury yachts. Glass-fronted elevators provide a dramatic ascent, taking more than a minute to reach upper floors.
Beyond the pool, the hotel offers additional amenities designed to showcase the cityscape. A gym located on the 61st floor includes treadmills positioned near floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to work out while admiring Dubai’s skyline, particularly at sunset. The 74th-floor pan-Asian restaurant, Tattu, adds a culinary highlight with its moody ambiance and dragon-inspired décor. Signature dishes such as wild mushroom spring rolls with truffle and honey-glazed Chilean bass with mango and lime have drawn praise, and while the restaurant is considered upscale, lunch options provide relatively good value.
At street level, the marina’s waterfront promenade lined with restaurants presents an inviting atmosphere for leisure activities along the Arabian Sea. Guests can enjoy outdoor dining or a stroll while taking in views of the city’s waterfront.
Booking options for Ciel Dubai Marina start at approximately £250 per night for bed and breakfast, with four-hour pool access sessions available from around £61. The hotel’s combination of height, luxury, and curated experiences reinforces Dubai’s status as a city of architectural innovation and upscale hospitality.
