Etihad Airways will expand its Abu Dhabi–Sydney route to twice daily flights starting December 15, aligning with the peak Australian summer travel period. The carrier has operated services to Sydney since 2007 and will increase its weekly departures from 10 to 14 with the new schedule.

All flights on the route will be conducted using the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. This upgrade will offer more than 5,000 seats weekly in each direction, enhancing capacity for passengers traveling between the United Arab Emirates and Australia.

The additional daily service aims to provide greater convenience for Australian travelers, particularly those interested in visiting Abu Dhabi’s attractions and attending events such as the Formula 1 race weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit in December.

Passengers connecting through Abu Dhabi may also benefit from the airline’s Stopover programme, which includes complimentary hotel stays of one or two nights. The programme has recently been expanded to incorporate stops in Al Ain, further broadening options for travelers to explore the UAE during their journey.
