Bob Iger, the former chief executive officer of Disney, is set to release a new book detailing his second tenure leading the company. The 75-year-old executive, who originally served as Disney’s CEO for 15 years before stepping down in 2020, described the upcoming work as a candid account of his “sometimes bumpy, never boring journey.”

Titled "One Last Time," the book covers Iger’s recent four-year return to the top role, a period marked by his reinstatement following the departure of his successor, Bob Chapek. Iger and Chapek’s leadership years have been noted for significant shifts and challenges within the entertainment giant. The new memoir is co-written with Dane Schwerin, former chief speechwriter for Hillary Clinton.

Iger’s announcement comes shortly after Chapek published his own book, "Behind the Castle Wall," which reflects on his time as Disney’s CEO. Chapek’s memoir reportedly references Iger 121 times and includes claims that Iger viewed himself as a modern-day reincarnation of Walt Disney, according to industry reports.

The forthcoming release will offer Iger’s perspective on his leadership style and decision-making during a turbulent chapter in Disney’s history. This second book follows an earlier memoir by Iger that chronicled his initial 15 years at the helm, a period often praised for its profitability and transformative impact on the company.
