A former professor at Farmingdale State College has been charged with sexually assaulting a female student on campus, authorities said. Antoine Munfakh, 44, is accused of groping the student, strangling her with her own lanyard, and forcing her to perform oral sex inside his vehicle in the college parking lot on October 15.

The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 2:48 p.m. at the State University of New York (SUNY) campus in Babylon, Long Island. According to court documents, Munfakh allegedly assaulted the woman in his car after forcing her into it.

Munfakh, a resident of Freeport, had served as an adjunct professor in the Aviation Administration Department at Farmingdale State College from August 2024 until June 2025. He has denied the allegations, entering a plea of not guilty.

Farmingdale State College, which has an enrollment of about 10,000 students and primarily serves commuters, released a statement condemning the alleged attack and affirming its commitment to campus safety.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the case.
