Kerry Stevens, a former lawyer wanted by UK authorities for multiple alleged "dine and dash" offenses, has reportedly fled the country and is now believed to be residing in the Lorraine region of France. The 40-year-old, who has repeatedly failed to attend court hearings, is subject to four outstanding arrest warrants.

Stevens, once based in Southend, Essex, was disbarred following a previous conviction involving the non-payment of a £60.91 bill at a Harvester restaurant. She faces charges including 11 counts of making off without payment and one count of shop theft, all relating to incidents occurring in 2024. She denies these allegations and is scheduled to appear at trial later this year.

Recent reports indicate that Stevens has shared images on social media appearing to show her at Disneyland Paris on May 18, wearing Mickey Mouse ears and holding a wand. A family acquaintance noted that she left the UK despite family appeals for her to remain, with Stevens's mother informing police of her departure during recent inquiries.

The investigation into Stevens and her alleged accomplice, Daniel Alani, began after an incident at The Castle Inn in Little Wakering, Essex, where patrons reportedly detained the couple for attempting to leave without settling a £62 bill. Additional claims include an unpaid £127 bill at The Pearl Dragon restaurant in Southend. Alani has pleaded guilty to charges including theft and multiple counts of making off without payment earlier this year.

Essex Police have been approached for comment but have not provided a statement at this time.
