A group of current and former Non-League footballers will take part in a charity boxing event scheduled for October 22 at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. The occasion, titled "A Night to Remember III," is organised by Pro Project Promotions, a company founded by former Arsenal and Barnet goalkeeper Graham Stack.
The event will feature 14 ex-professional players who have competed in Non-League football in recent years. The lineup includes Nile Ranger, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Gary Madine, Sebastien Bassong, Matthew Briggs, Armand Traore, Harlee Deen, Simon Cox, Lee Cook, Leroy Lita, Anthony Gardner, David Norris, Martin Woods, and Jamie Sendles-White.
Stack described this edition as the organisation’s most significant and emotional to date, highlighting the varied backgrounds of the participants. He noted that some have played at the highest levels of the sport, while others have faced personal challenges requiring major life adjustments. All, he stated, are returning to the boxing ring to support charitable causes.
The event follows the release of related documentaries on Amazon Prime, which Stack says will help raise awareness of the initiative. Pro Project Promotions has previously raised over £201,500 through its first two events, with proceeds going to various charities.
Tickets for the October 22 event are currently available, and demand has been strong, with tables quickly selling out. Pro Project Promotions has gained a reputation for combining sport and philanthropy, with former athletes committing to an intensive training period to participate in these high-profile charity matches.
