Parts of the United Arab Emirates are expected to experience rainfall over the next five days as convective cloud activity develops across the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The centre’s forecast highlights unsettled weather conditions persisting through Monday, with cloud formation and intermittent showers anticipated in various regions.
Convective clouds are forecast to form over eastern parts of the UAE during the afternoons, bringing a likelihood of rain. Humidity levels are projected to increase overnight, creating the potential for fog or mist, particularly on Saturday morning. Similar weather patterns are expected to continue on Saturday, with continued chances of afternoon rainfall.
By Sunday, showers may occur mainly in the northern and eastern areas. The possibility of precipitation is then expected to shift towards eastern and southern regions by Monday, with partly cloudy skies prevailing elsewhere. Throughout the period, afternoon cloud development will remain a consistent feature, but the locations most likely to receive rain could vary daily.
Wind speeds are predicted to reach up to 40 kilometers per hour at times, which may lead to the occasional raising of dust in affected areas. Despite this, generally light to moderate winds are expected overall. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are forecast to remain calm with slight sea conditions from Friday through Monday.
Humidity will persist during overnight and early morning hours, especially along coastal and some inland areas, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist formation. Outside the zones affected by convective cloud activity, skies are expected to be largely fair to partly cloudy.
The NCM’s forecast underscores a blend of unsettled and stable weather phases, with localized rainfall possible across different parts of the UAE over the coming days. Residents may experience varying levels of humidity, wind, and cloudiness, with sea conditions remaining generally manageable.
