Twelve new experts from various national specializations formally took the legal oath yesterday to be registered in the Ministry of Justice’s official roster of experts, in accordance with Law No. 16 of 2017, which governs expert work. The ceremony was held as part of ongoing efforts to enhance technical support within the judicial system.
The newly sworn-in experts represent fields including accounting, real estate, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, and cybercrimes. Their inclusion is intended to strengthen the ministry’s pool of technical professionals who assist judges by providing expert analysis and evidence related to the technical facets of legal cases.
Abdullah Abu Shahab al-Marri, director of the Ministry of Justice’s Experts Department, congratulated the new experts and underscored their critical role in the judicial process. He highlighted that expert reports contribute significantly to the efficient adjudication of cases and the timely issuance of judgments by offering specialized knowledge that supports legal decision-making.
Al-Marri also emphasized the ministry’s commitment, under the guidance of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi, to developing Qatar’s national human resources. This initiative aims to align with Qatar’s broad developmental objectives by ensuring the availability of highly qualified experts across diverse fields relevant to the country’s evolving legal and economic landscape.
The registration of these experts reflects ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and effectiveness of justice in Qatar, supporting the judiciary’s ability to handle increasingly complex cases that require specialized technical understanding.
