Faversham Town staged a dramatic late comeback to secure a 2-2 draw against South Park in a Division 1 South East clash at The Aquatherm Stadium on Saturday. The match, which settled in a cautious opening period, saw South Park take an early lead through George Vincent, who netted twice to give his side a 2-0 advantage.

South Park broke the deadlock in the 34th minute when Vincent scored, followed by a second goal from the striker from the penalty spot shortly after halftime, marking his fifth goal of the season. The Lily-whites appeared in control for much of the game, holding a two-goal cushion.

However, Faversham Town fought back, with substitute Eniye Amgbaduba reducing the deficit eight minutes after South Park’s initial goal, injecting renewed hope for the hosts. Faversham subsequently dominated possession and created multiple opportunities as they pressed to close the gap before halftime.

The climax came deep into stoppage time as Faversham were awarded a contentious penalty, provoking dissent from the visiting side. Captain Tommie Fagg calmly converted the spot-kick in the sixth minute of added time to level the score and deny South Park a victory.

Despite conceding a late goal, South Park maintained their position at the top of the league standings, while Faversham Town held onto a spot in the play-off positions. The match highlighted the competitive nature of the division, with both teams displaying resilience and fighting spirit.
