A family affected by a recent killing on Lalmai Hill has called for a swift legal process and the harshest possible penalties for those involved. The incident took place on September 18 in the Sananda area between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Authorities have identified four individuals in connection with the crime: Saiful Islam Tuhin, Md Siam, and two 15-year-old minors. Police reports indicate that all four were involved in planning the attack, while Tuhin and the two teenagers carried out the killing directly.
KM Firoz Shahriar, the father of the victim, confirmed that the investigating officer informed him shortly after midnight that the chargesheet had been officially submitted to the court. Shahriar urged the judicial system to expedite the trial and impose the maximum punishment, emphasizing that the accused should not evade responsibility due to the involvement of minors.
Regarding detention, jail authorities reported that Tuhin and Siam are being held at Cumilla Central Jail, whereas the two teenagers are placed at the juvenile development center in Gazipur.
The case remains under review as the court prepares to proceed with the legal process.
