Alan Miller, a far-right activist known for participating in recent protests in Glasgow, was convicted in December 2023 of assaulting his mother at her home in Easterhouse. Miller, 26, appeared in court following an incident in which he reportedly shouted threats and swore at his mother, Kirsty Miller, 53, before striking her on the head. He was subsequently ordered to complete community service and was issued a non-harassment order preventing further contact with her.

The conviction adds to a history of domestic abuse allegations against Miller, who has drawn attention for his involvement in far-right demonstrations. Most recently, he participated in a "Save Our Women and Kids" rally at Glasgow Green, an event that escalated into clashes involving masked individuals, some of whom were seen making Nazi salutes. Video footage circulated on social media showing Miller shouting threats during the event.

Ex-partners of Miller have publicly accused him of violence and intimidation. Caitlyn Scullion, 26, alleged that Miller subjected her to repeated physical abuse, sharing images of bruising and bleeding alongside a video capturing a distressing confrontation in which a child was present. Another former partner, Kerry Sweeney, characterized Miller as a violent "hypocrite" and described him as a threat to women’s safety.

Miller pleaded guilty to a domestic abuse charge in 2017 related to an incident involving Kerry Sweeney, for which he received 40 hours of community payback. Other assault charges against him were dismissed after he entered pleas of not guilty. In addition to the conviction regarding his mother, Miller was subject to a Community Payback Order and Non-Harassment Order in August 2025 following his treatment of Caitlyn Scullion.

Critics have condemned Miller’s activism, branding it contradictory given his personal history. A source familiar with the case described him as a "misogynistic bully" and questioned the legitimacy of his involvement in protests ostensibly aimed at protecting women and children. Calls have been made for authorities to consider more severe penalties in light of his behavior.

Miller has been approached for comment on these matters but had not responded at the time of publication.
