Fearne Cotton’s wellness brand, Happy Place, reported revenues of £2 million in the last fiscal year, according to the company’s recent financial filings. The venture, which the former television and radio presenter established following personal mental health challenges, has expanded beyond its initial podcast format into a broader wellness platform.
Happy Place encompasses a variety of offerings including the Happy Place Festival, a series of published books, and a curated marketplace where Cotton receives commission income from sales. The latest accounts, filed with Companies House, reveal that the company paid £500,000 in taxes during the year. After covering expenses, Happy Place retained £1.4 million in equity, including nearly £1.2 million cash reserves—a significant increase from approximately £900,000 the previous year.
Cotton, who first gained national attention at age 15 after winning a talent search to present on The Disney Club, transitioned away from live broadcasting due to anxiety and mental health concerns. The success of Happy Place marks a notable shift in her career, providing a source of personal and financial stability.
The growth of Happy Place reflects rising public interest in mental health and wellness-focused content and community engagement. Cotton has effectively leveraged her platform to build a multifaceted brand that resonates with audiences seeking support and inspiration in these areas.
