Hibernian defender Felix Passlack has attributed his team’s recent defeat against Motherwell to lapses in defensive concentration. The Scottish Premiership match, held on Sunday, ended in disappointment for Hibernian despite a strong offensive showing.

Passlack expressed frustration over the outcome but highlighted some encouraging aspects of the team’s performance, particularly in the latter stages of the game. “We had so many chances at goal in the second half and it’s frustrating that we lost the game,” he said. “There are some positives, especially the start of the second half. The second half in general was really good. Along with the chances we also played some good football but we just have to be a bit more clinical.”

The defensive breakdown that allowed Motherwell's winning goal was a clear concern. Both Passlack and Hibernian manager David Gray acknowledged the team’s shortcomings in defense. Gray described the defensive effort as “naive,” while Passlack stressed the need for quicker reactions when possession is lost. “We lose the ball but the reaction has to be better. Motherwell has the quality to score from it and it’s a big disappointment,” he noted.

The team faces Shkendija in the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round first leg at home on Thursday, followed by a league clash against Rangers three days later.
