Ferrari is set to honor Michael Schumacher at the Italian Grand Prix this weekend by unveiling a special livery inspired by the German driver’s first Ferrari Formula 1 car from 1996. The tribute marks three decades since Schumacher joined the Scuderia Ferrari team, where he secured five of his seven world championships.

The cars of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will feature a design reminiscent of the Ferrari F310, Schumacher’s debut machine with the team. The livery includes gold accents on the wheels, a detail that echoes the original car’s style. Additionally, the vehicles will display Schumacher’s personal logo alongside seven stars, symbolizing the seven world titles he won—a record that Hamilton has since equaled.

In a further nod to Ferrari’s history, former drivers Sebastian Vettel and Rubens Barrichello will participate in demonstration runs at the Monza circuit on Saturday. Both Vettel and Barrichello have strong connections to the team, having contributed to Ferrari’s legacy in Formula 1.

Hamilton and Leclerc are also expected to wear special edition race suits, continuing a tradition at the Italian Grand Prix that celebrates milestones and heritage. Ferrari arrives at Monza chasing their third victory of the current season, having previously seen wins from Hamilton in Barcelona and Leclerc at Silverstone. The team hopes to capitalize on the home crowd’s support as they compete on one of Formula 1’s most iconic circuits.
