Filming has begun in Tehran on “Endless,” a movie depicting the life of Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, the architect of Iran’s missile program. Directed by Sasan Fallahfar, the film is a dramatized portrayal of key episodes in the late commander's career, with actor Hamid Ebrahimi portraying Tehrani Moghaddam. Production is taking place near the site where Tehrani Moghaddam was killed, emphasizing the film's connection to the historical narrative.

Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, who played a foundational role in developing Iran’s missile capabilities, died in November 2011 during a missile test accident in Bid Ganeh. His contributions date back to the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988), a period that underscored the strategic need for a strong missile program. Tehrani Moghaddam joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in 1980 after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Khajeh Nasir al-Din Toosi University.

During the war, he was instrumental in establishing the IRGC artillery and later led its missile unit. In 1985, his forces launched Iran’s first missile strike against Kirkuk, marking a key milestone. The following year, he was appointed commander of the IRGC Air Force. Under his guidance, Iran acquired Scud missiles from Libya, helping advance the country’s missile technology. Tehrani Moghaddam also contributed to the development of indigenous missile systems, including the Sejjil and Shahab missiles, which have played a significant role in Iran’s defense and deterrence strategy.

His work has been recognized beyond Iran’s borders; Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has acknowledged that the safety of Lebanese civilians owes much to Tehrani Moghaddam’s efforts in missile technology.

The film “Endless” serves as a cinematic tribute to Tehrani Moghaddam’s legacy, highlighting his impact on Iran’s military capabilities and the personal sacrifices he made in the pursuit of the country’s missile program. The production aims to shed light on a pivotal figure whose work remains central to Iran’s defense narrative.
