A bus driver in India is being hailed for his quick thinking and dedication after suffering a fatal heart attack while on duty, successfully preventing what could have been a tragic accident. The 59-year-old driver, identified as Vengadasamy, was operating a state-run public bus in Tamil Nadu when the incident occurred.

According to reports, Vengadasamy experienced a massive heart attack while driving the bus on a route between the cities of Vellore and Salem. Despite his sudden medical emergency, he managed to safely steer the vehicle to a stop, averting potential harm to the 25 passengers on board. Shortly after bringing the bus to a halt, Vengadasamy collapsed.

Passengers immediately recognized the seriousness of the situation and assisted in taking him to a nearby hospital. Medical personnel attempted to save him, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
