Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, met with HE Juha Mustonen, Ambassador of Finland to Qatar, to discuss enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations. The meeting, held at the Qatar Chamber headquarters, also involved Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Second Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, and Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al Misnad, Board Member.

During the discussions, both parties emphasized the potential for expanding cooperation between Qatari and Finnish business communities across multiple sectors. They also announced plans to organize a Qatari-Finnish Business Forum on September 29, which will convene business leaders and representatives from companies in both countries to identify partnership opportunities.

Sheikh Khalifa highlighted Qatar Chamber’s commitment to facilitating collaboration between Qatari firms and Finnish counterparts. He noted the strong interest among Qatari business leaders in leveraging Finnish advanced technologies and establishing joint ventures that would mutually benefit the two economies.

Ambassador Mustonen outlined that the Finnish delegation attending the upcoming forum will include companies specializing in education, security technology, artificial intelligence, space, energy, and telecommunications. Notable Finnish firms such as Nokia, Tesi, and Patria will be represented, demonstrating their eagerness to explore opportunities within Qatar’s market.

The event aims to strengthen economic ties by fostering direct dialogue, encouraging knowledge exchange, and supporting investment initiatives across sectors central to both countries’ development strategies.
