Flydubai will commence direct flights between Dubai and Benghazi, Libya, starting June 17. This marks the first time a national airline has offered non-stop service between Dubai International Airport and Benghazi Benina International Airport.

The flights will operate three times weekly from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, enhancing connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Libya. The new route aims to provide passengers from Benghazi with streamlined access to Flydubai’s expanding network through its Dubai hub.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, described the launch of the Benghazi service as a significant milestone in the airline’s network expansion, emphasizing the company’s commitment to serving previously underserved markets. The addition of Benghazi increases Flydubai’s destinations in East and North Africa to 13, underlining the airline’s continued focus on growth in the region.
