Fraser & Neave Holdings (F&N) has appointed Tarang Gupta as its new chief executive officer, effective October 1, succeeding Lim Yew Hoe, who has retired. Gupta, 49, brings more than 24 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, with a history of driving growth and transformation across Asia and Africa.

According to the company’s filing with Bursa Malaysia, Gupta’s background includes deep expertise in halal compliance and a broad understanding of FMCG industry requirements. His leadership experience spans multiple consumer categories, including dairy and nutrition.

F&N highlighted Gupta’s previous senior roles, where he managed complex organizations with full accountability for commercial outcomes, operational efficiency, and capability development. Lim Yew Hoe, 60, stepped down after his retirement, marking the end of his tenure as CEO.

The leadership change is expected to continue F&N’s focus on expanding its presence in key markets while maintaining operational excellence in its product offerings.
