Thierry Nevers, a 24-year-old former footballer who played for West Ham, Newport County, and Bradford City, has been ordered by a judge to disclose information regarding his finances following his conviction related to drug offenses. Nevers was sentenced to three years in prison last December after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

At a proceeds of crime hearing held at Lincoln Crown Court, Judge James House KC noted that forensic accounting evidence concerning Nevers was still missing and adjourned the hearing until October 2, indicating that investigations into his financial activities are ongoing.

Lincolnshire Police described Nevers as a “known Instagram content maker,” highlighting his use of social media to boast about his involvement in drug dealing. Authorities uncovered that Nevers frequently traveled from his hometown of Reading to South Lincolnshire, and phone records revealed communications between him and his accomplice, Allan Barrass.

Barrass, 50, from Dorrington, Lincolnshire, is currently serving a 10-year sentence after admitting to three drug-related offenses and one firearms offense. During the hearing, it was revealed that Barrass had profited approximately £221,028 through his criminal activities but had only £13,746 in realisable assets. The judge ordered Barrass to repay this amount within three months.

The investigation into Barrass’s activities intensified following his arrest in August of the previous year, when police discovered a cannabis cultivation operation in his garage. Seized items included cocaine, £5,860 in cash, a baton, a baseball bat, and a loaded sawn-off shotgun.

Nevers’s last known football engagement was in Croatia in 2024. The ongoing financial inquiries follow evidence of his role in drug trafficking alongside Barrass. The court has yet to conclude the examination of Nevers’s assets as part of the broader effort to recover proceeds arising from illicit activities.
