During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cole William Hosman, a skateboarding enthusiast from Chicago, developed an online interest in Sienna Mae Gomez, a rising TikTok personality known for her dance and body positivity content. Gomez, then 16, had quickly gained more than 12.5 million followers after beginning her TikTok posts in August 2020. Despite Hosman sending several direct messages, Gomez did not see them at the time.

Hosman relocated to Anaheim, California, in 2020 to pursue professional skateboarding. In October 2021, the pair crossed paths at a party in Los Angeles but did not make a connection until two months later when Gomez noticed one of Hosman’s skateboarding videos on Instagram and decided to follow him, initially unaware they had met in person.

Their relationship began to deepen following a serious skateboarding injury Hosman suffered in May 2022, which resulted in a concussion and required staples to his head. Having recently embraced Christianity, Gomez reached out with messages of support, and they bonded over their shared faith. After several days of conversation, Gomez visited Hosman’s Anaheim apartment to aid his recovery, bringing supplies and spending time watching movies with him.

In the weeks following, their connection grew stronger. Gomez, balancing a burgeoning influencer career, including brand deals, and Hosman working minimum-wage jobs while continuing skateboarding, went on their first official date in Laguna Beach. Despite their different financial situations, Gomez emphasized her desire to support Hosman rather than focusing on monetary contributions.

In June 2022, Hosman asked Gomez to be his girlfriend. After Gomez’s family relocated to San Diego, Hosman regularly traveled from Anaheim to spend weekends with her. The couple became close to one another’s families, regularly joining dinners and supporting Gomez’s businesses, including Sienna Swim and Routine the Brand.

Hosman, who dropped out of high school at 16 to focus on skateboarding but later completed his education online, credited Gomez with helping him develop a career beyond sports. He launched Present Headwear, a Christian-themed hat brand, and became an online fitness coach, producing content related to skating, surfing, running, and weightlifting.

In August 2025, Hosman proposed to Gomez in Honolulu, Hawaii, during a family visit. The couple married on July 22, 2026, at Paliku Gardens at Kauaola Ranch in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The ceremony, officiated by Jeff Moors, lead pastor at Rhythm Church in Oceanside, California, was attended by around 80 guests.

Family members delivered speeches infused with humor and heartfelt emotion, highlighting the close bonds between both families. The evening included live performances and dances featuring music from Abba, Bad Bunny, Usher, Ne-Yo, and Michael Jackson.

Reflecting on their journey, both Hosman and Gomez acknowledged the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny and the maturity required to sustain their relationship. Gomez emphasized the grounding influence Hosman had during a period when she was navigating her identity beyond social media, while Hosman noted Gomez’s support in helping him shape his career and faith.
