Ford Motor Company has announced updates to its Mustang Mach-E lineup for the 2027 model year, including a new Trail package and a shift to a standard extended-range battery across all variants. These changes come alongside a modest increase in the starting price.

The base price for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E Select begins at $42,040, including a $2,045 destination fee, up from $39,840 for the 2026 model. Ford explained that the price hike reflects the inclusion of an extended-range battery with 88 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of usable capacity as standard, compared to the 73 kWh standard range battery fitted in the previous model. This upgrade provides increased driving range and value to customers.

Among the notable additions is the Mach-E Trail package, designed for drivers who seek to venture onto gravel and dirt roads with greater ease. Priced at $2,295 above the Select eAWD extended range model, the Trail variant features hardware enhancements such as increased ride height (10 mm front and 15 mm rear), a re-tuned suspension, and a steering rack shared with the Mach-E Rally. It rides on 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray wheels with Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, and includes unique exterior styling elements such as bodyside graphics, a Carbon Black lower front fascia, and a dedicated Mach-E Trail center armrest logo.

The 2027 lineup includes a redesigned secondary front drive unit that maintains performance while reducing costs. Battery capacity varies by trim, with Select and Premium models equipped with the 88 kWh extended-range battery and the GT and Rally trims offering a slightly larger 91 kWh battery. Ford has not yet released official EPA range estimates for the 2027 models but anticipates them to be comparable to the 2026 extended-range versions, which achieved about 320 miles under certain configurations.

Technological features have also been updated. Every new Mach-E includes Ford’s Connectivity Package, providing internet access, navigation, entertainment, and more, as well as a Security Package offering anti-theft and vehicle recovery services, with one year of complimentary service. Ford’s BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free driving system is available as part of optional Tech Packs on Select and Premium trims; it is a required option for the Mach-E Trail and a one-time purchase on models equipped with necessary hardware.

Another addition for the Trail variant is Pro Power Onboard, a 400-watt integrated mobile generator with outlets in the cargo area and rear console, useful for powering outdoor equipment. This feature is standard on the Trail and is also offered on Premium and GT trims.

Additional accessories include an optional Interior Protection Package with all-weather mats and cargo area protection, as well as a Clamp On Cross Bar Kit by Thule to expand cargo capacity for outdoor gear. Ford is incentivizing buyers with 100,000 Ford Rewards points on top of the 22,000 points awarded with Mach-E purchases, which can be redeemed on accessories, parts, merchandise, and experiences.

The 2027 Mustang Mach-E lineup pricing, excluding destination fees and special pricing plans, includes the Select RWD Extended Range starting at $39,995, while the Select eAWD Extended Range begins at $42,995. The Trail eAWD Extended Range is priced at $45,290. Premium trims range from $42,995 (RWD) to $45,995 (eAWD), with the GT eAWD at $50,995 and the Rally eAWD at $55,290.

Order banks for the 2027 Mach-E opened on October 22 via Ford dealerships, with the Trail variant expected to arrive in showrooms in the first quarter of 2027. Ford said details on final EPA-estimated range and additional configuration pricing will be provided closer to availability.
