Yacoub, who is widely known by his nickname “The Scary One,” praised the recognition as well-deserved, highlighting Al-Houti’s dedication, loyalty, and accomplishments throughout his football career.
Al-Houti notably captained Kuwait’s national team to victory at the 1980 AFC Asian Cup and led the squad during the 1982 FIFA World Cup held in Spain. Yacoub commended Al-Houti not only for his achievements on the field but also for his sportsmanship and respectful conduct off the pitch.
