Four individuals sustained injuries following a knife attack at the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Jastrzebie-Zdroj, located in southern Poland, on Thursday evening. According to local authorities, the assailant targeted both patients and staff members with a sharp weapon during the incident.

Emergency responders reported that three of the victims suffered stab wounds to the chest, while a fourth sustained injuries to the neck. Hospital officials confirmed that all four were admitted in serious but stable condition.

The suspect was subdued by a ward chief prior to the arrival of police, who subsequently took the individual into custody. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motives and circumstances leading to the attack.
