Four men have been arrested following the discovery of a man’s body in a burnt house on the Isle of Wight. The incident occurred on Friday in Cowes, where emergency services responded to a fire at a residential property.
Authorities found the body of a man believed to be in his 20s inside the damaged building. Subsequent police investigations led to the arrest of four individuals in connection with the case.
Among those detained are two 24-year-old men and a 59-year-old man, all held on suspicion of murder and arson. A 28-year-old man was also arrested on similar charges, including possession of an offensive weapon, but he has since been released on bail.
The police have not disclosed further details about the identities of those involved or the circumstances that led to the fire and the victim’s death. Investigations are ongoing as officials seek to establish the full sequence of events and any potential motives.
