Four members of a family, including two young children, sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out at their home in Sadar Upazila, Gazipur, early Friday morning. The victims were promptly taken to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute for treatment.

The injured have been identified as 30-year-old Molsin Prodhan, his 25-year-old wife Selina Akhter, and their children, Sohad, 4, and Shayan, 5. According to the family, the fire began when a sofa inside the house caught fire around dawn. The flames rapidly spread to the wooden roof and two motorcycles parked on the verandah before engulfing the entire residence.

Officials have yet to determine the exact cause and origin of the blaze. Investigations are ongoing to establish what led to the incident.
