Four men of Afghan origin have been sentenced following the rape of a 17-year-old girl in Bristol, England. The assault occurred in November and resulted in convictions at Bristol Crown Court.

Mehrab Safi, 21, received a 15-year prison sentence for his role in the attack. Two other defendants, Awal Ahmadzai and Salman Habibkheil, both aged 19, were sentenced to nine years each. A fourth individual, aged 17 and whose identity is protected under legal restrictions, was sentenced to three years’ detention.

The defendants were apprehended in France before being brought to trial. The court heard details of the assault during the proceedings, leading to the convictions and sentencing last week.

Authorities did not provide further information about the circumstances of the case or the investigation. The outcome marks a significant legal resolution in a case that drew attention to violent crime involving youth offenders in the region.
