A fox was discovered aboard a double-decker bus at the Hounslow Bus Depot in West London, causing a brief but unusual interruption for the driver preparing to start his shift. The unexpected passenger was spotted just before the bus began its route on the 110 service.
The driver was alerted to the presence of the fox by a colleague, who humorously remarked, "Boss. You already have a passenger." The driver then attempted to encourage the animal to leave, whistling and urging it to exit from one of the rear seats.
After a short standoff, the fox eventually left the vehicle of its own accord. Local observers responded to the incident with lighthearted comments, including a quip expressing hope that the fox "touched in," a reference to using the bus fare system.
No harm was reported to either the driver or the animal, and the bus resumed its scheduled service following the unexpected encounter. The incident highlights the occasional unpredictable interactions between urban wildlife and city infrastructure.
