Frontken Corp Bhd’s subsidiary, Ares Green Technology Corp, is set to acquire industrial land and factory buildings in Tainan City, Taiwan, from Ginwin Technology Co Ltd for RM118.16 million. The property, which spans 16,172 square meters and includes seven factory buildings, is currently used as a thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT-LCD) color filter recycling facility.

Ginwin Technology is majority-owned, with a 53.45% stake, by Taiwan-based Enlight Corp. Frontken disclosed the transaction in a Bursa Malaysia filing, stating the acquisition is expected to be finalized by the fourth quarter of 2026.

Following the acquisition, Ares Green plans to commence the first phase of construction to establish new production lines in the first half of 2027. The company anticipates investing approximately NT$620 million (RM79.6 million) into this development.

The acquisition aligns with Frontken’s strategic efforts to expand its manufacturing footprint in Taiwan, enhancing its capabilities in advanced technology processing. The company operates in sectors including semiconductor and electronic equipment services, and this move is expected to bolster its position in the growing thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display segment.
